You saw some rumors floating around the forums regarding Project F.D.. Well, here’s the first fruits of the labor. Stickman and I (Jack H.) have been working together on a stage hack for nearly 2 weeks now. Testing countless amounts of times for results finally yielded the answer we wanted: Complete removal of polygons. The platforms are no longer tangible.
P.F.D = The attempt to level out stages to feel more like Final Destination, since F.D. has an exceptional ability to be a very “neutral” playing field.
We’ll have more up by New Years. In the meantime, we hand you this PAC file in hopes that some sweet F.D. stage textures get applied. We’re excited to see what you can come up with.
‘Nuff blabb’n. Here’s the pics.

@Dhragen
The reason I said it was optional is because if you want to play online, the only thing you have to do is unplug the SD card and restart the game, or put in the original brawl disk and not the modded CD-rom. But ya it must suck to be the kid that always gets online to freeze haha.

So uhm.. you think it’s actually possible to remove the Metalgears from Shadow Moses with that technique?

Wow… people are such assholes… Seriously, say something positive, or don’t say anything at all unless it’s constructive.
Jack and Stickman, great work, this is awesome. I know you’re not just making every stage be FD, as some people here think, so I consider this to be a milestone in changing stuff. BUT, the “flame an ESH member” thing was low. You don’t even know everyone on ESH. You can’t just assume everyone is the same. Just because ESH’ve failed some times, doesn’t make them bad. “We would hate to be more disappointed in this site than usual”. Did you just talk for the whole of KC-MM? Don’t get me wrong, I’m just trying to point this stuff out, since I believe in ESH.

@greenalloy: Drama innately originates from esh, I didn’t say they were bad. I highly regard a lot of what comes out of there. But crying about personal problems is for a personal blog, not the Elite Smash Hackers blog — that was my point.
@segab: Removing the metal gear would do nothing. If your intentions are so that the wall would never break down, it wouldn’t work that way. The stage crumbles because it’s on a timer, which happens to match up with the metal gear that destroys the wall. If you remove the metal gear, the wall will still collapse because of the timing cycle.

If that was your point Jack, it would’ve been easier to just say it. They wouldn’t get so mad if you did.

@Jack H.
Hey nice work between you and Stickman. But instead of taking the platforms away from Battlefield witch is already a very neutral stage, you should focs on maybe taking out somethings on for example the items spawning and the bulborb spawning on Distant Planet, it would help it make a kind of good Counterpick. But either way nice job guys

@Jack H: I don’t really care if the wall breaks down, I just don’t want the big robots cuz it wouldn’t fit with what I’m making ^^’

Wow. This is excellent. I’ve been waiting for stuff like this. I would love to see a Frigate Orpehon without the platforms (and without that pesky little flip). Again, great job!
