Hello, KC-MM members! Albafika here bringing you our next Feature, Super Sawndz! Making SFX hacking more user friendly! Now here are the creator’s words:
I was thinking about calling this Sawndz 64 but it works on 32 bit as well!
This is a c# wrapper for Jaklub’s sawndz program. I’ve added the ability to:
- Browse wav ids
- Preview sounds(Works on 32/64 bit Windows)
- Select a .brsar file from anywhere to edit
- Shows file size of sounds and groups. Turns red to notify you size is over 0xDDDDD
This doesn’t come with sndconv.exe/dsptool.dll/soundfile.dll to convert .wav files, but it can use them if you put them in the folder. It also has some of the same stability problems as before(maybe some new ones!) so remember to back up your .brsar. Size limit of 0xDDDDD only matters for most characters, but coloring applies for all.
Now you’re hacking with power, SUPER power!
Love it, all the updates makes sound hacking take a lot less time. i think this is where updates to sound hacking ends, this is pretty much the best a sound mod program can get.
i agree completely! i wanted to try sound hacking before, but even with a guide to follow i just didnt understand the Hex editing part.
this program makes it so much easier.
seriously amazing! I will try it out asap
Seems quite awesome! Does it work with gecko?
whooooooaaaaaaa i love this SOOOOOO much makes sound hacking soooo much easier
Ive always wanted to make my own sounds…this looks good !
Nice GUI. I remember doing Gray Fox’s old SFX pack using Vile’s guide and it involved a LOT of hex and precision. It took minutes to put in ONE SFX file and it’s data, and it didn’t support larger sounds so longer sounds had to be in lower rate resulting it sounding like crap.

This is much smoother, faster, and less of a PITA. Thanks. Props for crediting VILE since he IS the pioneer of Brawl SFX hacking.
THANK YOU! This honestly came at the best time considering I need to do a lot of work with SFX for a project I was working on,
hi, i’ve only one question. where are the announcer voices in smashbros_sound??? thanks
This is awesome! this is really useful for the Riivolution version of Mewtwo’s Final Alpha update, with this ppl will be able to replace Lucario’s SFX with Mewtwo’s in the .BRSAR in a much more easier way! This is awesome!
