Wait so because Beyond makes two quality DBZ vertexes, ShadowSnake and Mr Italiano make a quality DBZ vertex, StarWaffle makes a good vertex, MarioDK does his usual thing and I’m making a Kid Buu PSA it’s suddenly “overhype”. Because hack creators ON THEIR OWN ACCORD are deciding to make DBZ hacks and they just happen to be around the same time. If they were bad, I could understand where you were coming from, but none of them are and all have something to offer and a receiving the attention they deserve. Let me quote directly from his topic what Beyond said:
“Really, the only time I feel it’s okay it’s okay to complain about a hack is if it sucks. The difference between my DBZ hacks and the countless Shadow the hedgehogs is that they don’t suck.

If it was any other series and this exact same incident happened barring the Sonic, KH, FF etc series, you guys wouldn’t be tripping so much about it. What you’re doing is absolutely pathetic. Nobody is asking for DBZ hacks. People are just wanting to make them, and none of you have the right to complain especially when all of the DBZ hacks that have been released as of late are some of the better hacks we’ve seen on the vault. Hacks are about QUALITY. I’ve said this about a million times. It shouldn’t matter which series a hack is from.
I’m probably gonna get thumbed down for this and honestly I don’t really care, but the fact of the matter is I’m right and you people who are whining are wrong and are acting like children. Normally I don’t flat out say stuff like that, but I am. End of story.
As for the hack, I like it. It’s a fun take on a loved character from the series, even if it was created out of spite. But a hack is still a hack, and as a result I will still give my two cents. It would’ve been nice if the ears actually were detailed like ears and not just triangles. Though there probably would’ve been texture stretching so it’s not a huge deal. I also think the eyes could be a bit more menacing. His eyes were narrow with small black dots for irises. But that’s another thing that doesn’t really matter considering the nature of the hack. But overall, the hack makes me chuckle. I’ll still probably forever prefer your Clouby, Dederoth and Shadow the Kong, but still it’s alright for what it is.
Rant and feedback over. I’m off to go continue Kid Buu. And all the whining in the world about how overrated the goddamn series is won’t stop me.

I can’t say I speak for everyone, but I speak for a decent number of people that I help setup Brawl mods for:
The mods that have been coming out as of late have been high quality, some of the best stuff that I have ever seen. Yes, DBZ has been “over represented” in the modding community as of late, but how is that relevant? These passionate souls take time out of their busy day to make mods for the community and you repay them by whining when they don’t satisfy your whims? Sometimes they get a desire and wish to do it for themselves; just go along with it, it’s not as if they are intentionally doing this to spite you. If you don’t like the series the mods are based off of, fine, we’re not forcing you to enjoy it. There is at least a few who like it out there; don’t take it away from them.

But yea, the DBZ haters are the ones overhyping DBZ in a sense since they’re being more loud and obnoxious than those who actually like it and therefore drawing more attention to it. If you don’t like DBZ, I can understand but you don’t have to complain about people making hacks of what they like.

Beyond and Vegeta has been an on running case quite a bit before this whole “omigod dbz is so overhyped” crap. Really when you actually get down to it and properly think about it, only a couple of people were persisting with Vegeta. The others were before hoping it would get fixed because, well, it’s a Beyond vertex and it’s bound to be incredible. Going back to those isolated persisters, they’re generally newbies that generally don’t know better. Because of this arguments and quarrels swell over a good few pages about them posing the question.
As far as the whole recolour thing goes…yeah….you’re just wrong. Only case is Goku, and that was aaaaaaaages ago. Some of the hacks get recolour packs, but it’s only one from some decent at texturing like Dot or the like. And this applies to EVERY kind of hack that’s good.
I still stand by my statement that some of you are just acting like children and are blowing this out of proportion like it’s some “Shadow, the Second Coming”. It’s not and never will be.
